at the end of the lesson students should be able to: know the usage of the structure "there is/are" and the vocabulary on the theme "My flat, my house".

Type of the lesson:

Revision of the covered material.

Types of working:

pair work, group work.

Resources:

Active board, handouts, video (song "My house")

Visual aids:

Slide presentation: "There is/are"

Books:

Student's Book, Work Book "English" by T. Ayapova.


The Procedure of the Lesson

I. Organization moment

  • Greetings.

  • Questions about date, day of the week.

  • "Emotional smiles"

  • Greetings.

  • Answer on the questions.

  • Students show their mood at the beginning of the lesson using the "Emotional smiles" ( I am OK, I am worry, I am upset…)

  • Video song "My house"

  • Teacher asks question concerning with the theme of the lesson: What is the theme of our lesson?

  • Watch the video

  • Students' answers


  • Divide class into 2 groups: №1 "Flat" №2 "House".


  • Divide into 2 groups

  • Say the rules of group working.


II. Practice the vocabulary

  • Brainstorming "Flat/house " (rooms, furniture)


  • Students say and write

  • Suggests to complete the sentences with these words.

III. Practice the grammar

  • Gives out the tasks
