Aim: to stimulate pupil's interest in learning language.

Procedure of the lesson:

Good morning our pupils! Good morning our guests!

I'm glad to meet you. How are you? Do you know English? Can you speak English? We'll see it

. Today we'll have a competition. Two teams will take part in our competition.

It's high time to begin our competition.

Well, let's imagine that we are passengers of this bus. We are going to travel to Knowledge land. Look at the screen, please. Take your seats. Be attentive. The bus is leaving….

Station 1 Phonetics

Warm-up "Rhyme"

(each pupil choose one card. Read the poem an name the word to the rhyme)

1. Hi, my name is Sam, I like eating … (jam)

3. My big brother Jake is fond of … (cake)

Station 2 Round letter.

Teams are given papers. Each pupil in team write one sentence about countable or uncountable nouns. Sentences shouldn't be repeated.

Station 3

Complete the chart. Divide words in four groups.

Oranges, coffee, Apples, tea , Bananas, juice, Eggs, rice , Tomatoes, milk , Carrots, sugar, Grapes, biscuits, pancakes, butter, cheese, salt, bread.

Station 4

Game Corners. Pupils should go to the right corner if I name fruit, to the left corner if I name vegetables.

Station 5

What can you make? Pupils read given recipes and guess what can they make? Then they write their own recipe and give each other. Each group try to guess what can they make.

You need:

2 cups of flour

1 cup of milk

350g of flour

225g of butter

100g of sugar

Some salt

Station 6

Make a dialogue. Pupils are given speech patter to use in their dialogues.
