Цель урока: обобщение и активизация грамматического материала по теме «Косвенная речь».

Ход урока

1. Оргмомент.

Good morning, boys and girls! I'm glad to see you. How are you today? Who is on duty today? Who is absent today?

2. Тренировка орфографических навыков по теме «Конфликт».

Look at the blackboard, please. Put the letters in the following words in the correct order, read them aloud and translate.

HOILDHOD (Childhood)

UNIREON (Reunion)

TACONCT Contact)

CTFLICON (Conflict)

CAPEES (Escape)

3. Обобщение грамматического материала по теме «Косвенная речь».

Today we'll revise the rule of the Reported speech. Open your books at page 107. In ex. 16 you can find the examples of the reported statements. Let's read and translate this examples together.

4. Закрепление введенного грамматического материала.

Let's practice the Reported Speech in the sentences. You are to listen to my sentences and rephrase them using the Reported Speech.

1) Nick: Sometimes I go home by him.

2) The teacher: You didn't write exercise two.

3) Bob: My uncle has just arrived from Paris.

4) Helen: The atmosphere will be friendly in my family.

5) Kate: I respect honest people.

Let's do ex. 17 on page 107 (we'll do it orally).

5. Активизация грамматических навыков.

We have read the story 'The Rose Pin'. One of the main characters of the story is Carrie. In ex. 24 on page 109 read what she wrote in her diary a year later. You are to work in pairs: the first student will read the first sentence and his partner will repeat it using the Reported Speech. The second student will read the next sentence and his partner will rephrase it in the Reported Speech.
