Food Party

(Form 5)

Цели: систематизировать и обобщить учебный материал по теме «Еда»; совершенствовать умение работать коллективно; воспитывать познавательный интерес, активность; развивать творческие способности.

Teacher: Today we are going to have an unusual lesson- Food Party.

You know that there are different kinds of parties: outdoor parties, sleep-over parties and theme parties. How do you think what kind of party Food Party is?

Pupils: It's a theme party.

Teacher: And what are we going to speak about?

Pupils: Food.

Teacher: What do children do at theme parties?

Pupils: They sing songs, play games and eat tasty food.

Teacher: So, we are going to sing, play and have delicious food today.

First, you have to divide into teams and give your team a name.

(Children divide themselves into 4 teams and give them names)

Teacher: Our first contest is Warming up one. You have some pictures of food. Divide them into two groups: countable and uncountable. The team that will do the first gets 4 points, the second gets 3 points, the third gets 2 points and the last-1 point. Minus one point for mistakes. Start!

Teacher: The second contest is Writing a funny story. Each team has got a text about a Birthday Party. You can see some space instead of names of food. I'm going to give you 9 pictures of food. You have to stick a picture on the free space so as to get a story. Start!

Teacher: Our next contest is Crossword Puzzle. You have to complete the puzzle with words for food and drinks and guess the extra word. Start!

Teacher: The next contest is Looking for a word. Join the letters to make 8 food words. Start!

Teacher: And now it's time to sing. Our Singing contest. Listen and complete the song. Use the words in the box.

Teacher: When we were preparing for the party, we made a Fortune Tree with wishes. Now take a sweet from the tree and read the prediction.

Teacher: Let's sum up the results of our party.

(children count the points and find out which team has won)

Teacher: There isn't a party without delicious things. So, we are going to have a cake. Enjoy your cakes!
