3. закрепление навыков употребления в речи предлогов места



Ход урока.

Организационный момент.

-Good morning. How are you?

- Today we will learn new words about our rooms, prepositions of place, ask and answer the guestions, complete the pictures and do the listening task.



Речевая разминка.

-Where do you live?

-Do you live with your parents or grandparents?

-Have you got your own room?



-OK! Let's remember what kind of room we have got in our flat. (СЛАЙД 1)

To explain where we can find our things we usually use the place prepositions. Let's remember them. (СЛАЙД 6)

  • Find please ex. 5 p. 18. Look at the living room and complete the sentences.

  • Well done. And now be careful I'll read you the sentences and you should say "Yes" or "No" using the picture of our living room. (СЛАЙД 8)

  1. There's a coffee table next to the sofa. (yes)

  2. There are four paintings on the wall. (no)

  3. There's a cat on the sofa. (no)

  4. There's a lamp behind the coffee table. (no)

  5. There's a newspaper under the table. (no)

  6. There's a vase on the table. (yes)



  • In the next task you should work with a partner/ there is a picture of another living room and lots of things that go in it. Don't look at your partner's picture!

Student A your picture is not complete. Ask students B questions and find out where the things go. Draw them on your picture.

Student B your picture is complete. Answer student A's questions and help him complete the picture. (СЛАЙД 9)

-Look at the complete picture together. Listen to someone describing it. There are five mistakes in the description. Say "Stop!" when you hear a mistake. (СЛАЙД 10)

  2. The girl isn't in the armchair. She is in front of TV.

  3. There isn't a cat.

  4. There are some photographs on the bookshelves.

  5. There aren't any flowers on the table next to the sofa. There are in front of the mirror.

  1. Are there enough places in the living room?

  2. Steve asks for help, doesn't he?

  3. Laura wants the sofa next to the window, doesn't she?

  4. Where do they place the armchair?

  5. John easily carries the armchair, doesn't he?

  6. Where does Laura want them to put the armchair?

  7. Why does Laura feel worried about the clock?

  8. What is the greatest mistake they made?

  9. Do they place the table between the fireplace and the armchair or between the sofa and the armchair?
