Урок английского языка в 9 классе «Почему люди путешествуют?»,

учебник М. З. Биболетовой 9 класс, 2 раздел, первое занятие

"Why do people travel?"

Цели: развитие навыков монологической речи по теме «Путешествие и виды транспорта»; закрепление грамматических навыков (использование разных временных форм глаголов).

Задачи урока:

1.Развивать умения устной речи по теме «Путешествия».

2.Повторить грамматический материал: настоящее завершенное, настоящее завершенно-длительное, простое прошедшее время.

Tenses in comparison: Past Simple, Present Perfect, Present Perfect Continuous

(Review).

Лексический материал: to board, to border, to check in, to collect
(забирать), to confuse, to cooperate, to crash, to delay, to detect, to prevent, to register, to save (спасать, экономить), to sink, to take off, to weigh.

Упражнения 1-3 образуют блок, в котором материал организован по принципу расширения объема высказывания и степени самостоятельности. В упражнениях 1, 2 от учащихся требуется выразить собственную точку зрения и аргументировать ее.

Упражнения 4-6 направлены на то, чтобы учащиеся осознали смысловую разницу в употреблении временных форм глаголов. Если позволяет уровень знаний учащихся, упражнение 4 выполняется без предварительного объяснения грамматического материала. Учащиеся самостоятельно формулируют разницу времен.

Оборудование: картинки с видами транспорта, таблица времен глагола.

Ход урока

I. Организация начала урока.

-Good morning, pupils!

- Good morning, teacher!

-I'm glad to see you, sit down please.

II. Речевая зарядка.

Ok, now let's remember some ways of travelling and play. I'll throw you the ball and your task is to say what your favorite kind of travelling is. Then you'll throw the ball to another pupil and ask him or her the same question. Are you ready? Let's start!

T: What's your favorite kind of travelling?

P1: My favorite kind of travelling is by car. What's your favorite kind of travelling?

P2: My favorite kind of travelling is by plane. What's your favorite kind of travelling?

P3: […]

T: Very well!

III. Активизация материала по теме «Путешествие».

T: Have you ever thought why people travel? There are a lot of reasons, could you name some of them?

P: to meet people, to study foreign language etc

T: Yes, you are right. Now let's look at exercise 1 page 61. There are several reasons for people to travel. Let's rate these reasons according to their importance. Which one is the most important reason to your mind? Why? And what reason is the least important?

Good job. Now look at exercise 2 page 61. I'll give you a minute to mull over how you personally feel about travelling. Write your ideas down in your exercise books using the example: I would like to travel a lot / I don't like to travel much because…

IV. Развитие навыков монологической речи.

T: Look at the pictures at the bottom of the page 61 in your text books please. What do you see?

P: Different ways of travelling.

T: Yes. Some of them are quite exotic, aren't they? Hot air balloons for example. Let's discuss different means of travelling. The word combinations from exercise 3 will help you. First, let's repeat them all together after me. Could you translate them? Now your task is to choose one kind of travelling and tell about it using phrases from exercise 3. I'll give you four minutes to get prepared.

Now let's check your answers.

V. Физкультминутка.

It's time to have a rest now. Stand up please and repeat after me:

And sit down.

Дети вместе с учителем произносят слова зарядки, выполняя действия, о которых в ней говорится. Начинают меденно, нескольк раз, постепенно ускоряя темп.

VI. Совершенствование грамматических навыков.

Look at exercise 4 page 62. Here is a Grammar Focus. There are some examples of Past Simple, Present Perfect and Present Perfect Continuous. Let's remember their differences and match the sentences to complete the situations.
