Праздник День Святого Валентина . 9 классы.
Тип урока: урок - викторина
Цели:

содействие развитию умений и навыков диалогической речи учащихся;

содействие развитию монологической речи учащихся;

развитие лексико-грамматических навыков учащихся;

расширение словарного запаса учащихся;

развитие логического мышления учащихся;

расширение кругозора учащихся;

развитие эмоционально-чувственной сферы личности детей и формирование навыков толерантного отношения друг к другу;

содействие сплочение классного коллектива;

воспитание положительного отношения к английскому языку и культуре, традициям страны, изучаемого языка.
Задачи:

познакомить с традициями Великобритании;

познакомить с историей праздника "День Святого Валентина";

совершенствование навыков диалогической и монологической речи учащихся;

активизировать лексические единицы, изученные на предыдущих уроках;
-
совершенствование умений и навыков перевода;
Ход мероприятия:
Звучит музыка, на фоне которой читается учителем стихотворение. (слайд 1)

Ведущий 1: Love! Happiness! Beauty! There are not so many days in a year, when we pronounce these pleasant words. Today you have an excellent chance to plunge into atmosphere of love and friendship, to take part in party games, to practice the use of some pleasant words and expressions on this special occasion. Happy Valentine's Day. (слайд 2)

Ведущий 1: One of the most favorite holidays is Valentine's Day. We celebrate this holiday on February 14. It isn't national holiday, but it's a happy festival, especially for children and young people. It is time to say words of love to your sweethearts and friends and ask them to "Be my Valentine".
Ведущий 2: Valentine's Day is a time to celebrate love and friendship.Love and friendship are very important parts of our lives.Valentine's Day is time to tell people that we like or love them.
Ведущий 1: Now, St. Valentine's Day is
the day of the sweethearts. On this day, people show their friends,
relatives and loved ones that they care. People send sweets or
flowers to those whom they love. Most people send "valentines",
greeting cards named after St.Valentine's letters written from
jail.
Ведущий 2: Valentines can be sentimental and romantic, or
funny and friendly.Valentines can be anonymous, heart-shared or
carry hearts on them. People buy valentines or make them
themselves. Let's start!

Ведущий 2: : For many centuries people think about love, they create poems, novels. There exist many quotations, proverbs and sayings about love. Can you find the Russian equivalents to them?
(Командам раздаются крылатые фразы и выражения, нужно подобрать русский эквивалент, задание раздается на разрезанных сердечках, учащиеся соединяют.
Найти русские эквиваленты к английским пословицам. За правильно подобранную пословицу команда получает 2 балла.
1) Love is blind. Любовь слепа.
2) Love laughs at locks myths. Любовь не замок не закроешь.
3) Love will find a way. Любовь найдёт себе дорогу.
