Цели по содержанию:

Образовательная

- изучить способы выражения запрета и разрешения, применить изученные грамматические правила в процессе диалогической речи;

- активизировать ранее изученные ЛЕ по теме «Как пройти?»

Развивающая:
- Развивать память, внимание, логическое мышление, воображение;
- Развивать умение анализировать и сравнивать грамматические явления;
Воспитательная:
- способствовать воспитанию правопорядочности;
- воспитывать такие личностные качества как активность, трудолюбие, ответственность;
- поддерживать интерес к изучению английского языка;
- Практическая:
- Способствовать формированию грамматических навыков употребления модального глагола can для выражения различных значений.
- Совершенствовать навыки устной речи по теме «В движении»;

T: - Look at Ex. 2, p. 28 in your textbooks now. Say what you can / can't do?

Ask your desk mate what he can/ can't do. Put tick or a cross in front of each line. So what can your partner do?

T - So, the verb can expresses ability. But it also means - prohibition and permission

Listen to the sentences:

You can cross the road on the green light.

You can't cross the road on the red light.

T: So, as well as ability the verb can express

So the first sentence: Is it

PERMISSION or PROHIBITION?

What about the second sentence?

Look at the traffic signs. Which colour means prohibition - red or blue?

We should make 2 groups. Let's count from 1 to 2.

I will give you some traffic signs. Your task is to make up sentences which illustrate the each sign.

The group which completes the task first is the winner and gets stars.

Now let's read your sentences one by one.

Let's imagine that we are in the driving school now. Do you know what driving school is? What do people do there? Who is a driving instructor?

T: Now you will get cards. One card is for an instructor another one is for a driver. Look at the map and try to fill in the missing words in the sentences.
