Our topic is - "What is Hot with the Young Generation?" At the last lesson you've learnt more information about things the young' re interested in, we continued studying the ideas of different subcultures, you know their names, manners and interests (it was their home task to revise the ideas of different subcultures). I believe it was such an interesting activity. But isn't it true that the names of some subcultures are often connected with violence?

So our problem for this lesson is - "Are all the Young Violent?"

So, your first task is to answer this question -

What words come into your mind when you hear the word violence?

(Students make their suggestions, fill in empty spaces on the blackboard and argue them)

Oh, well done! But do you know that even the media often associates youth culture with something threatening and violent.

3. The next task will be this one.

Let's imagine such a situation. You are all in a library now, and have to read some articles. They are the opinions of persons of different ages.

Your task is to find out whom these opinions belong to and to ask all the questions.(ex.2 1) A B C, p. 86-87)

You can help each other.

But we know that not only the appearance and manners tell us about different subcultures, but also their music does. There is such an opinion that some music bands are dangerous. Your next task is very interesting.

You will listen to some musical pieces and decide what young people listen to such kinds of music and tell us your own opinion about this music and subculture.(Using phrases ex. 3 1), p. 88)
