Урок английского языка в 8 классе
Тема: London sightseeing tour.
Цели урока: формирование коммуникативных знаний, умений и навыков учащихся по теме «Достопримечательности Лондона»
Развивающая:
- расширение знаний о стране изучаемого языка;
- развитие памяти, логического мышления.
Практическая:
- активизация употребления лексики по теме: «Достопримечательности Лондона»;
- активизация употребления грамматического материала (употребление прошедшего неопределенного и настоящего совершенного времени);
- формирование навыков чтения, обсуждения прочитанного;
- формирование навыков монологической речи.
Воспитательная :
- воспитание потребности в практическом использовании английского языка;
- воспитание уважения к собеседнику.
Оборудование:
карта Великобритании, компьютерная презентация, компьютеры с выходом в Интернет, мультимедийный комплекс.
Ход урока
I. Организационный момент. Вступительная беседа. (слайд 1)
T: Good morning, boys and girls. I am glad to see you again.
P: Hello our teacher. We are glad to see you too
T: How are you?
P: we are fine, thanks. And how are you?
T: I am fine, thank you. Take your sits, please. Who is on duty today?
P: I'm on duty.
T: What date is it today?
P: Today is the 16th of November.
T: Who is absent today?
P1: All are present.
T: Thanks. Sit down!
II. Фонетическая разминка.
T: First of all let's train our tongues and repeat sound [g].
We go by car
And we go by train.
We go by boat
And we go by plane.
We go by land,
And sea and air
We go, go, go
From here to there.
(чтение стихотворения хором, по цепочке, индивидуально)
T: Thank you very much you are very good pupils
III. Работа над новым речевым материалом и повторение грамматического материала.
Задачи: 1) Введение и отработка ЛЕ по теме; 2) Повторение Present Indefinite и Present Perfect Tense (с повторением Special questions ).
Режимы работы: Teacher - class. Teacher - Pupil 1, Teacher - Pupil 2.
T: Did you remember all the sights of London?
Let's check. Read the words on the screen correctly, please. (слайд 3 )
T: Do you like to travel?
When did you travel last?
Where did you travel?
What kind of traveling do you know?
And have you ever been to London?
Don't worry, today you have such opportunity. It's a chance in a million. Are you ready?
P: Yes, of course.
T: Every year million of people come to enjoy London. Some of them travel for business or for pleasure. You' ll travel for pleasure too. (слайд 4)
Imagine that you have been chosen by the new Yaroslavl Travel Agency to travel a trip to the capital of GB - London.
Look at the map on the blackboard, please.(слайд 5 ) This is your route.
But before doing the task just watch a video about sightseeing in London. Be very careful and try to understand as more as you can. (слайд 6).
T: What places did you see?
P: We saw Trafalgar square, Buckingham Palace, the most famous clock tower Big Ben.
P: I saw the parts of London: East End, West End and the City. It's the richest part of London.
P: We also see the Tower Bridge and the London Eye.
T: That's good of you. Did you know all about these places?
P: We have already read about some of these places on the lessons but we have only the general information.
T: Would you like to visit some of the sighs?
P: Certainly.
T: OK. Let's begin our traveling. Now look at the screen and listen to your task very attentively

You'll work in three groups:
The first group will visit some sites, reads and choose the necessary information London's sights. Then you will work in group discuss and gather the information.
The second group will visit the same sites and find the most interesting information about sights.
The third group will also visit the sites and choose the most useful information. You can save the photos and make notes.
Now, stand up, divide into three groups and take your sits at the computers. Are you ready? Now you can visit the sites for searching the information. (слайд 8). You see them on the screen. Begin to do the task.
( Обучающиеся расходятся по группам и ищут информацию о достопримечательностях Лондона на предложенных сайтах, используя ссылки, делают при этом необходимые записи в тетради. Затем обучающиеся в группе обсуждают полученную информацию).
IV Физкультминутка
T: Your time is up. Let's have a rest! Stand up, please. I'll show you a card with a verb of action. Look at me and repeat after me (Глаголы движения).
V Развитие навыков монологической речи.
T: You have 5 minutes to discuss the information you search in the Internet in the groups.
VI Подведение итогов, рефлексия.
Well, you have visited London. Let's summarize the information about it. What sights of London do you like most of all and what do you know about them? Дети называют любимые места Лондона и их особенности.

VII Объяснение домашнего задания.
T: And now your homework. Обучающиеся получают дифференцированное домашнее задание. Первая (сильная) группа создает презентацию о достопримечательностях, используя при этом информацию с сайтов.
T: The 1st group will make up your own multimedia presentation about sights of London. The 2nd group will solve the quiz. And the third group will match names the photos with the London sights.
