1. Organization

Good afternoon, dear pupils. I am very glad to see you. How are you today?

Today our theme is Hobbies. We will learn new words, read the text, work with your books, do some exercises and play games. At the end of our lesson you will know new words and use new words in your speech.

Answer some questions. What date is it today? What day of the week is it today? What season is it now? Well. Let`s continue our lesson…

2. Warm - up activity (phonetic drill)

Look please on the board. What is the letter? Letter «Ii». Well! Listen and repeat long i: bike (baik), lion (laiәn), kite (kait), tiger (taigә).

3. Checking hometask.

What was your hometask? Are you ready? Let`s play a game. I will give you the pictures you should name me the actions.

I like reading.

4. Presentation of the new theme

Look please on the board and listen new words.

Hopscotch - классики

Skipping - прыгание

Tag - игра в салки

Marbles - игра в шарики

Tic-tac-toe - крестики - нолики

Let`s repeat after me. Very well!

Open your books at page 32 exercise 5. Read the text on by one and translate.

Reading check (p.33 ex.6).

Choose: True or false.

Work in pairs.

I will give you the words with hobbies and their meaning, you should find each other.

Physical minute

Hands up! Hands down! Hand on the hips! Sit down!

Turn to the left! Turn to the right! Clap your hands! That's right!

Eyes up! Eyes down!

Eyes to the left! Eyes to the right!

Shut your eyes!

Open your eyes widely!

Look at your right hand!

Look at your left hand!

Look up! Look down!

And sit down.

5. Development of skills.

Let`s play a game. I will name the word and show the meaning. If the word coincides the action you should clap your hands, if the word does not coincides the action you should stamp your feet. Is it clear for you?

6. Fixing knowledge

Open your books at page 19 exercise 3. Find the words and circle them.

7. Summary.

What have you learnt at the lesson? Name me please new words. If you liked our lesson show me happy smile, if you did not like our lesson show me sad smile. Excellent!
