Topic "At School Again".

Objectives: to activate the vocabulary of the topic;

to develop pupils' listening, reading and writing skills;

to practice "Is/are there…? Yes, there is/are";

to encourage pupils to learn more about school.

Equipment: school things, pictures, cards, a tape-recorder, a box.

Procedure

1. Greeting.

• Good morning, children!

Good morning to you!

Good morning, good morning,

We are glad to see you!

• I'm glad to see you too! How are you?

2. Phonetic Drills.

a) Peter has a pencil,

Peter has a pen;

He draws with his pencil

And writes with his pen.

b) What does Peter have? What does he do with his pencil (pen)?

What school things have you got?

c) A Game "Snowball". I have got a pen. I have got a pen and a pencil. I have got a pen, a pencil and a ruler….

3. Make up the dialogues.

- Where is the pen?

- It is on/in/under/near the … .

- What are the … ?

- They are on/in/under/near the … .

4. Fill in.

Make up sentences with these words.

5. Writing activity.

Make up sentences:

Pupils have got cards with the words. Their task - to make up sentences.

Write down four sentences using Is/are there …?
