- Hello, is everybody here? Welcome to summer school. I'm the head teacher. My name is Mr. Morgan. I know most of you because you were here last year but some of you are new. So tell me about yourselves, your name, where you are from, a bit about your family.

- Hi, I'm Lorraine and I come from Canada. I'm twelve years old and I live on a farm with my Mum and Dad and my two brothers.

- On a farm? That's interesting. I was born on a farm and my father was a farmer, a sheep farmer. Do you have any sheep on your farm?

- No, no sheep, but we do have horses. They are my favourite animals. I love riding.

- My name is Marion and I'm from Scotland. I'm thirteen and I'm an only child. My Mum and Dad are both teachers. I like living in Scotland because I love the mountains and I can go skiing in the winter. Another reason I like it because Scottish people are so friendly.

- That's great. Okay, let's get started!

24, 25, 26 ... is everybody on the bus now? Good, hello, my name is Kirsty. That's K-I-R-S-T-Y. I'm your tour guide and I'm going to tell you about our plans for the day. The weather forecast for today is good. The sun is shining and there are no clouds and no rain. So you don't need your raincoats. In about ten minutes when the driver arrives we are leaving for Stratford, where the famous English writer William Shakespeare was born more than four hundred years ago. The drive to Stratford takes about two hours and we arrive at one o'clock in time for lunch at the Blue Bell restaurant.

After lunch you have the afternoon from two until six to look around the town. You can walk along the river bank and feed the swans or even go shopping. There are plenty of interesting shops on Henley Street which is one of the oldest streets in the town. You can see the house where Shakespeare was born on this street. On the same street there are many pavement cafés and street entertainers. You can sit and drink cola and watch dancers, acrobats and fire eaters. Another interesting place to visit is the place where Shakespeare died. It's called New Place. Next door to New Place is the museum where you can spend a happy hour or two. At 6:30 we are all meeting at the Courtyard Theatre to see Shakespeare's famous play Antony and Cleopatra about love and war in ancient Rome and Egypt. After the play we can all meet in the café before we get on the bus. We are leaving no later than 10:30 and we get back to the hotel after midnight. I hope you all enjoy your day at Stratford. Sit back now and enjoy the journey!
