Competition

The Aims: 1.to enlarge lexical and grammatical materials.

2.to develop logical thinking.

3.to support interest to the subject.

Teaching Aids: cards, coloured pencils, papers, pictures, balloons, slides, activeboard, computer.

Procedure in details.

I. Organization moment.

Good morning boys and girls! Today we are going to compete with each other. There are 4 teams. Our participants are the fourth and the third forms. We are going to play and to see how well you know English. I think you will get much fun and pleasure.

Children today we have many guests. They are our jurymen. You must be active and quicker.

At first choose the cards to name your teams. So we have four teams:''Cats" "Dogs" "Parrots" and "Ducks". Be ready! You must say your "Motto"

The first team'' Dogs'' Your motto please.'' We can jump, we can hop, we are clever dogs''.

The second team "Cats".'' We are cats we can jump, we can hop. We like milk we like to sleep''.

The fourth team "Ducks" '' We are ducks. We can swim. We can fly''

The third team "Parrots". '' We are parrots. We can fly. We can sing''. Well you are right. Let's start our competition.

I. The first turn "Quess the tenses"

There are 4 cards for each team

There are four sentences in it.

You must read and find or guess tenses.

II.The second turn "I know words" write as many words as you can on topics "Clothes", "Food", "Animals", "School".

Please take cards and write words on topics.

III.The third round "Missing letters" on the topic "Family". Insert the letters to make the words
