Разработка урока по теме «Countries,languages,nationalities»

Задачи урока:

Образовательная:

1) научить учащихся употреблять в речи слова по теме «Countries, languages and nationalities»;

2) совершенствовать произносительные умения;

3) учить учащихся на слух воспринимать информацию, передаваемую с помощью несложных текстов.

Развивающая: развивать память, активность личности, воображение, логическое мышление.

Воспитательная: воспитание толерантного отношения к представителям других народов, интереса к изучению английского языка

</ 1. Приветствие.

Teacher: Good morning, children! I'm glad to see you. How are you today? What colour is your mood? (Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы учителя, аргументируя свой ответ: My mood is yellow because the sun is shining brightly/ My mood is black, because there is no snow on the ground/ My mood is orange, because I have just eaten an orange). If you are fine let's start our lesson.

2. Фонетическая зарядка

Please look at the blackboard. You can see a short poem here. Your task is to complete the sentences choosing the word from the list of the countries.

(На доске - список стран: 1. Portugal, 2. Japan, 3. Spain, 4. Russia, 5. China, 6. Germany, 7. Hungary, 8. Greece, 9.Egypt, 10. Italy, 11. Australia, 12. Finland, 13. France, 14. India. Учащиеся заканчивают предложения, подбирая рифму - название страны)

Feed the kitten and go to _________. (Britain)

Take your chance and go to ______. (France)

Catch a train and go to _______. (Spain)

Buy some cheese and go to _______. (Greece).

Please read the poem after me all together, one by one.

3. Введение в тему урока.

Учащимся демонстрируется картинка с изображением земного шара и людей разных национальностей

Teacher: What are we going to speak about at our today's lesson? What do you think?

Children: We'll speak about countries, people of different nationalities who live on our planet and the languages people speak.

4. Совершенствование умений диалогической речи. Знакомство с участниками финала международного конкурса подростков. У каждого ученика на столе табличка с изображением флага страны, названием страны и именем. Каждый из участников рассказывается о себе сам, дети знакомятся друг с другом в парах или тройках.

Teacher: And now let's imagine that you are the winners of the International teenagers' competition. What is its name? («We live on the same planet»). All of you have come from different countries but you can speak English. So, let's say hello to each other. Please don't forget to say what your country is famous for.

5. Совершенствование умений аудирования.

Teacher: Teenagers from different countries take part in our conference. Listen to the participants and guess what countries they are from.

Учащиеся выполняют упр. 9 на стр.36 учебника, прослушивая участников конференции, определяют, из каких стран они приехали, аргументируют свои ответы.

6 .Put in the if needed.

Travelling around the world is fantastic. Sometimes I imagine myself climbing mountains in (1)_____ Asia or in (2)_____ America. I often dream of fishing in rivers of (3)____ Russian Federation, watching penguins in (4)_______Antarctica, or breaking through the jungles in (5)____South America. I also think of visiting (6) ________China, (7)______United States of America, (8)______Spain and (9) _____Netherlands some time in future.

But you know what? (10)_____Mishelyovka will always be the best place in the world. Because all my family and my best friends live there!

7. Совершенствование лексических умений.

Teacher: Say, please, in which countries you know people speak English. Show these countries on the map. (Учащиеся высказывают своё мнение, затем слушают упр. 11 стр. 36 и проверяют свои предположение). Listen and check if you were right).

8. Физминутка.

Up (плечи вверх) -down (плечи вниз), up-down

Which is the way (правое плечо вверх-вниз)

To London - town (левое плечо вверх-вниз)?

Where (поворот головы влево),

High in the air (смотрим вверх).

(учащимся демонстрируется картинка с достопримечательностью Лондона. "London -town" можно заменить на название любой страны, например, "Canada-country", продемонстрировав картинку с изображением Ниагарского водопада)

Where are you now? (упражнение повторяется несколько раз)

9. Введение страноведческой информации по теме «Языки и национальности»

Teacher: You know that all countries have their own languages. Look at the blackboard. There are the names of the countries and languages. Your task is to match the names. (Учащиеся работают в парах, на столах есть раздаточный материал).

Portugal, Japan, Spain, Russia, China, Germany, Hungary, Greece, Egypt, Italy, Australia, Finland, France, India

Japanese, Finnish, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Chinese, Hindi, Italian, Maori, Russian, Greek, Arabic, Russian, German, Hungarian, English, Finnish, French.

Затем учащиеся прослушивают упр. 12 на стр. 37, повторяют названия языков, пользуясь таблицей в упражнении, делают вывод об образовании слов, обозначающих названия языков, и только потом осуществляют проверку правильности выполнения задания matching: In China people speak Chinese.

10. Совершенствование умений аудирования и чтения.

Teacher: There are a lot of languages in the world. Some of them are very popular and people speak them all over the world. Do you know the most commonly spoken languages in the world? If not then I want you to do exercise 13 at page 37. (Учащиеся высказывают свои предположения, а правильность проверяют, прослушав информацию).

Teacher: And now I want you to read a short and very simple text and answer the questions. Let's see who will be the first? (Первых учеников, которые правильно выполнят задание, можно поощрить не только словесно, но и оценкой)

The text: Katie and Jessie study German and French. Katie is also learning Russian. Jessie and Robert learn French and Italian. John studies Russian and German.

The questions:

1. Who learns German but not French? (John)

2. Which language is Jessie not studying? (Russian)

3. Who learns German, French and Italian? (Jessie)

4. Who learns Russian, but not French? (John)

11. Введение страноведческой информации по теме «Национальности»

Teacher: I live in the Russian Federation. I speak Russian. I am Russian. And what is your nationality?

If you want to describe the whole nation you will say "the Russians". (Учитель обращает внимание детей на таблицу в упражнении 15 на странице 37)

12. Закрепление введённого страноведческого материала в знакомых речевых образцах.

Teacher: People who live in different countries have different personal characteristics. For example, the Russians are very hospitable. And what kind of people are you?

Дети рассказывают о характеристиках нации, представителем которой они являются на уроке. Ученикам необходимо предложить следующие слова для высказывания предположения: I think, I believe, I guess.Это упражнение является заключительным, итоговым упражнением. Его выполнение будет свидетельствовать о том, что с основной задачей урока (употреблять в речи слова по теме) дети справились успешно.

Например: I am Lun. I am from China. China is in Asia. I can speak Chinese. I am Chinese. I think the Chinese are very hard-working.

13. Запись домашнего задания:

Teacher: At home I want you to do exercise 4 at page 28 from your workbook.

14. Подведение итогов урока.

Teacher: You were very active, smart and hard-working today. Thank you for the work. Your marks are ……. (Каждый ученик получает оценку за тест, кроме того, поощряются ученики, которые быстрее всех ответили на вопросы по тексту).I wish you good luck! Good bye!
