The Tsar Bell and the Kunstkammer

Тип урока: Урок-путешествие (урок с использованием компьютерных технологий).

Цель урока: 1) Образовательная: формирование познавательной активности учащихся, знакомство с основными достопримечательностями Москвы и Санкт-Петербурга;

1. Воспитательная: воспитание уважительного отношения друг к другу;

2. Развивающая: тренировка памяти, мышления и внимания на уроках английского языка.

Задачи урока:

1. Познакомить учащихся с правилами употребления артиклей с географическими названиями и именами собственными.

2. Познакомить учащихся с лексикой по теме «Россия - моя Родина» в рамках речевой ситуации «Исторические и культурные ценности Москвы и Санкт-Петербурга» и обеспечить ее первичную отработку в серии языковых упражнений.

3. Тренировать правильную артикуляцию.

4. Тренировать навыки аудирования, чтения, устной и письмен­ной речи.

Оборудование: компьютер, экран, проектор, музыкальный центр, аудиокассета 1 УМК.

1. Приветствие и организационный момент начала урока

Teacher: Good morning, class! I'm very glad to see you. It is Friday today, the 16^th of October (Слайд №1). Today we start Unit 3 «Holidays» (Слайд №2) and the title of the first lesson is «The Tsar Bell and the Kunstkammer» (Слайд №3). And I promise, you'll have a very nice experience.Объявление целей и задач урока.

2. Фонетическая зарядка

В качестве фонетической зарядки можно использовать чтение вслед за учителем первой части упражнения 3 на стр. 22 в рабочей тетради 1 из рубрики «Did you know». (Перевод маленьких текстов «Lake Baikal», «The Nile» можно сделать позднее или добавить в до­машнее задание.)

Teacher: Pupils, open your workbooks at page 22 ex.3. Listen, read and repeat after me and translate:

Lake Baikal

The deepest lake in the world is Lake Baikal. It is 636 km long and 48 km wide. The Baikal is 1,620 meters deep. More than 300 rivers run into the Baikal, and only one, the Angara, drains it. The saltier lake in the world is the Dead Sea. Because there is so much salt it is very easy swim in this sea.

The Nile

The world's longest river is the Nile. The White Nile and the Blue Nile join in Sudan and form the Nile. The Nile flows through Egypt into the Mediterranean Sea.

В качестве речевой зарядки, используя иллюстрации, можно задать учащимся примерно следующие вопросы, стимулируя тем самым устную речь учащихся:

4. Did you visit Moscow and St. Petersburg?

4. Введение нового грамматического материала

Teacher: Pupils, we have a virtual trip around the world today. We visit different countries and cities, go round its sightseeing. And now we have the 1^st station - "Grammar". Look at this slide (слайд №11). What about the weather? What is it like today? It's raining. But look! It is unusual rain. It's grammar rain (Слайд №12)

Объяснение нового материала - отсутствие и употребление определенного артикля- с использованием презентации "The article" проводиться поэтапно:

1 этап: употребление определенного артикля с географическими названиями (слайды №№13-14) - выполнение упражнения 1 на стр. 46 в учебнике (слайд №15)- проверка выполнения упр.1 (слайд №16)

2 этап: употребление артикля с именами собственными (слайды №№ 17-18).

Teacher: Oh, pupils! Look! The grammar rain is over! The sun is shining! (Слайд №19)

5. Закрепление нового материала

Teacher: And now we are having a trip around the world. (Слайд №20)

The 2^nd station is "Did you know sightseeing of Moscow and St Petersburg?" (Slide №21)

Teacher: Pupils, look at these pictures, please. Where can you see these places?

Match the names and the pictures. Look at the model.
