Тема: What do you know about British traditions? Christmas` symbols and traditions in Britain.

Цель: коммуникативно - речевое развитие учащихся через сообщение знаний о традициях празднования Рождества в Великобритании.

Задачи:

Речевая компетенция: развивать произносительные навыки диалогической речи, навыки аудирования и чтения с полным пониманием и письма.

Языковая компетенция: доводить до автоматизации употребление в речи лексических единиц по теме «Christmas».

Социокультурная компетенция: познакомить с традициями празднования Рождества в Великобритании.

Компенсаторная компетенция: развивать языковые догадки и воображения, творческое мышление, память.

Учебно-познавательная компетенция: развивать навыки работы с текстом, умение выделять основную информацию из прослушанного и прочитанного об основных рождественских традициях в Великобритании.

Познавательный аспект: познакомить учащихся с традициями и культурой страны изучаемого языка на основе праздника Christmas.

Развивающий аспект: развивать психические функции, связанных с речевой деятельностью (внимание, способность к анализу и синтезу, логическое мышление, способность к выявлению языковых закономерностей, языковая догадка, зрительная и слуховая память, фонематический слух).

Учебный аспект: овладевать всеми видами речевой деятельности: говорением, аудированием, чтением и письмом.

Воспитательный аспект: повышать интерес к изучению английского языка, воспитывать культуру языкового общения, уважительного отношения друг к другу, умение внимательно слушать собеседника.

Языковой материал: слова, речевые образцы, монологические и диалогические высказывания по теме «Christmas».

Оборудование: презентация, мультимедиа, рабочие листы, песня, мешок с традиционными рождественскими атрибутами.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент. Эмоциональный настрой.

Т: Good morning boys and girls. The motto of our lesson: we see, hear, speak, do and all will be OK!

2. Постановка учебной проблемы.

T: Children, today I have come to you with some things. How do you think what I have brought?

We celebrate Christmas soon and I've brought you some traditional Christmas symbols.

Look at the blackboard and pay attention to our lesson's plan.

3a. Everyone has cards with words on them. Choose only words by the topic " Christmas"

3b. I have my magic bag! How do you think, what is there?

In my Christmas bag there are some objects. One by one take a card, read the word , and find the object on the table.

All of you have the lists with the text about Christmas. Read it and find the information about the objects you took from the box.

CHRISTMAS DAY

Christmas Day, December 25th, is the most exciting day of the year for English children. On that day they get presents and give presents and Christmas cards to their parents and friends.

In the evening of the 24th of December children hang stockings at the fireplace or near their beds on Christmas Eve. A Christmas stocking is not a real stocking. It is big and beautifully decorated.. Santa Clause puts presents into them. In the morning they usually find their stockings filled with small toys and sweets.

On Christmas people light candles and children in the family often have Christmas crackers. When you pull a cracker it makes a bang and inside there is usually a Christmas hat, a small toy and a piece of paper with a joke on it.

Then comes lunch, traditionally with the turkey as the main dish and Christmas pudding for dessert. Children often put a coin into the pudding. It brings good luck to a person who finds it.

Before Christmas people place the evergreen tree (Christmas tree) in their

homes. Children decorate the Christmas tree with bells, toys, shining balls and

flags.

The whole family tries to come together on Christmas Day to say "Merry Christmas" to each other.

5a . We've spoken about almost all Christmas traditions, but forgot to remember about carols- traditional Christmas songs. And today I want you to sing the song " Let it snow" . You have the lists with the text of this wonderful song. But not all words are in. The task is - Listen to the song twice , put on the missing words. Then we'll check the answers and try to sing. ( слушать два раза ,проверить слова , прочитать вместе , прочитать куплет по одному)
