Цель урока: отработка лексического материала в устной и письменной речи

Задачи:

Познавательная задача: знакомство с образом жизни и чертами характера людей, достигших многого путём собственных усилий.

Развивающая задача: развитие способности к формулированию выводов из прочитанного; развитие мыслительных навыков учащихся.

Воспитательная задача:формирование стремления быть успешным в жизни, воспитывая в себе положительные качества личности и определив социально значимые элементы успешности; формирование уважительного отношения к людям, добившимся успеха своим трудом.

Учебная задача:совершенствование лексических навыков, чтения (с целью извлечения детальной информации) и говорения на основе прочитанного.

Используемое оборудование:

мультимедийный проектор, компьютер, магнитная доска

Ход урока:

Teacher: Look at the blackboard. Work in pairs. Match two parts of the proveb. Pay attention to the word diligence ([ʹdılıdʒ(ə)ns] - прилежание, усердие). You have 2 minutes. (Презентация, Слайд1)

What will be the theme of our lesson today? What do you think?

Pupils: Success, successful man … (учащиеся высказывают свои предположения).

Teacher: Ok. Let' check. But at first open your books (p.95, ex 8). Let's revise the pronunciation of the words. Listen and repeat. (Аудиоприложение 1)

Work in pairs, read the words to each other. You have 1 minute. (Работа в парах)

Look at the blackboard. You can see different traits of character. Open your exercise books and write down a list of words which characterize a successful person. You have 2 minutes. (Презентация, Слайд2)

Let's devide into 3 groups. I'll give you a scheme. Your task is to put down as many words as you can. (Приложение 1) You have 3 minutes. Then the leader will present your work.
