Тема урока: «Что вы знаете о космосе»

Тип: комбинированный

Цели:

познавательный аспект - увеличение объема знаний о космосе, космических терминах

развивающий аспект - развитие познавательных и творческих способностей учащихся, способности к сравнению и сопоставлению полученных знаний, способности логически излагать;

воспитательный аспект - повышение интереса к изучению англ.языка, воспитание культуры языкового общения, уважительного отношения друг к другу, умения внимательно слушать собеседника;

учебный аспект - развитие речевых умений

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент. Приветствие. (2 мин.)

Т: Good morning, students

S: Good morning, teacher

T: I'm glad to see you

S: We are glad to see you too

T: Thank you. Well, let's start our lesson

2. Постановка цели урока. (7 мин.)

T: Children, look through the picture and try to guess the theme of our lesson. I'm sure you will guess it very easily. Open the book on page 12, exc.31

Учащиеся просматривают изображение в учебнике и высказывают предположения о теме урока.

T: That's it, your supposition is right. The topic for today is space and all the things connected with it.

T: But the first thing is we should talk about our planet. What do you know about the Earth? Do you know its address?

Учащиеся отвечают

T: Well done. Now let's look through the passport of our planet and we will know its address for sure. The same exercise

Учащиеся знакомятся с информацией в учебнике, читают и переводят

T: Good. All of us know that we live on the Earth. But what do we know about it?

Open the page 12, exc. 32. Read the text and answer the questions

Учащиеся читают предложения из текста каждый по одному и отвечают на вопросы

3. Введение новой темы (7 мин.)

T: Now we will listen to new words and say them after the speaker

Учащиеся слушают аудиозапись и повторяют слова вслед за диктором.

T: Your next task will be to find the equivalents in Russian.

4. Первичное усвоение знаний (5 мин.)

T: The next task will be to match the words and the descriptions.

1. a planet. 2. a galaxy 3. The solar system. 4. a spaceship 5. space 6.the universe

a) … is all space and everything that exists in it

b) … is a huge group of stars and planets

c) … is a place far above the Earth where there is no air

d) … is a rocket or other vehicle that can travel in space

e) … is a large, round object that goes round a star

f) … is the Sun together with the planets going round it

Учащиеся устно сопоставляют слова новой темы с описаниями

5. Закрепление знаний (7 мин.)

T: Now I'll see how you can define our new words. The task will be to match the words and the pictures. The exercise is 37, p.13

Учащиеся сопоставляют слова с изображениями космических объектов в учебнике.

T: Today we have a very useful grammar theme. Children, if you know there's one very important article which is commonly used in the language. Can you guess it? And why is it so important?

Учащиеся отвечают и обосновывают свои ответы.

Правила:

The Earth goes round the Sun.

The universe is all space …

The sky /the country/ the sea

In space / in the space.

T: Now we will do the task and see the cases either we can use the article or we can't.

1) It can be seen from Earth when it travels near Sun

2) She opened her eyes and saw sky

3) Mr James lives in country not far from London

4) Earth is a part of Universe

5) Half an hour ago sea was calm

6) He climbed into his spacesuit and in a few minutes was out in space.

Учащиеся письменно выполняют упражнение, по мере надобности подставляя артикли. По выполнении зачитывают и объясняют случаи использования артикля

6. Минута релаксации. (2 мин.)

T: Let's take a short break before we continue and just relax. Imagine that you are in space. Your bode becomes easier and easier. You can fly. Raise your hands up. Swing your hands. Blink your eyes. Raise your head. Turn it left and right.

Учащиеся слушают аудиозапись, выполняют указания учителя и отдыхают.

7. Чтение текста (8 мин.)

T: I suppose it's very interesting to know more about space and galaxies. I offer you to read the text. But before we should learn some new words:

to belong - принадлежать

human being - человек

bulge - выпуклость

beam of light - луч света

naked eye - невооруженным глазом

to investigate - исследовать

T: I divide you into 3 groups. A short passage from the text will be given to all the groups. Your task is to read, translate, define the main points and tell them to the other groups. Page 13-14, exc. 41. So let's start!

Учащиеся знакомятся с новыми словами. Учитель делит учеников на 3 группы. Каждой группе дан отрывок из текста. Задание - прочитать, перевести, определить основные моменты и в конце рассказать другим группам.

T: This task wasn't so easy but you managed to solve it. Well done!

8. Заключительный этап. (2 мин)

T: Students, you have learnt a lot of useful information about space today. Let's sum it up.

Учащиеся по порядку, отвечают что узнали нового о космосе.

Т: Your hometask will be exc.45 p.15. You should write your own Intergalactic Address. And learn our new words.

Выставляются и комментируются оценки.

Т: The lesson is over. Good bye!
