My village Troitzkoe in the years of Great Patriotic war
70 years have passed since the day of the Victory in the Great Patriotic war, but its echo till now doesn't calm down in humans' souls. We have no right forget those soldiers, who died for our bright future. We must remember everybody and everything. On June 22,1941, Hitler's armies attacked the Soviet Union without declaring war. The Great Patriotic war, which was lasting 4 years, had begun. It was the most terrible, cruel war in the history of our country.
During the first days of the war thousands of citizens of our country went to the front.
Almost each family saw off on the front to the husband, the son, the brother... From our settlement 1030 people went to protect the Homeland and more than a half of them didn't come back home.
In the morning, on October 12, 1941, after persistent fights, fascist tanks broke resistance of our forses.
Our village was occupied by fascists, in the first days of occupation arrests and executions began. Fascists shot party workers, Komsomol members, active representatives of formation of the Soviet power, wives of party and Soviet workers...About 80 people were shot and tortured. After war the monument was delivered to the victims of fascism.
Teenagers were stolen violently for forced labor to Germany. Salnaya V. F., Kurinina M. !., Edush I.G., Demchenko E.K., Tarasenko V. V., Korovkina L.P. and others endured horrors of fascist bondage. Unfortunately, not all of our villagers were able to return home.
The remaining residents in the village worked under the supervision of the policemen: digging
trenches, repairing roads, working in the fields, growing crops, which had been confiscated by the Nazis. Constant hunger, cold, humiliation, bullying and fear for their lives and the lives of their loved ones suffered by the villagers.
On August 30 Soviet forces freed the village. Inhabitants of the village started restoring the destroyed economy. Women and teenagers worked from morning till night. The village lived under the slogan: "All for the front, all for the Victory". And they waited for messages from the relatives from the front.
Good news about the long-awaited Victory came to our village on the 9th of May. It was a
normal day, but when the people heard the word "Victory" they began to hug each other.
Every year on May 9 we celebrate Victory Day. It is a day of the victory of our people over
Fascism.
Our people does not forget about veterans. We will remember our fighters for ever. It is a
great pleasure for veterans that they are remembered and beloved. They are the real heroes
of our Motherland.
War is a terrible thing and we must do everything to preserve peace on earth.
Our village is one of the most beautiful villages in Rostov region now.
