My Family.

Our family is neither large nor small. I have a mother, a father and a sister. We all live together in a three-room flat in one of the industrial districts of Kharkiv. We are an average family.

My father Ihor Ivanovych is 45 years old. He is a tall and well-built man with short black hair and grey eyes. He works as a manager at a big plant. He likes his work and spends most of his time there. By character my father is a quiet man, while my mother is energetic and talkative.

My mother's name is Olha Petrivna. She is a teacher of music and plays the piano well. My mother always has a lot of work to do about the house and at school. She is a busy woman and we all help her.

My sister's name is Alla. Like our mother Alla has blue eyes and fair hair. She is a very good-looking girl. Alla is three years younger than me. She is a pupil of the 8th form. She does well at school and gets only good and excellent marks. Literature is her favourite subject and she wants to become a teacher, as well as I do.

Our family is very united. We like to spend time together. In the evenings we watch TV, read books and newspapers, listen to music or just talk about the events of the day. Our parents don't always agree with what we say, but they listen to our opinion.

All of us like to spend our weekends in the country. We often go to the village where our grandparents live. They are aged pensioners now, but prefer to live in the country. My grand-grandmother is still alive. She lives in my grandmother's family and is always glad to see us. Her health is poor and she asks us to come and see her more often. I also have many other relatives: uncles, aunts, cousins. We are happy when we are together.

Моя семья

Наша семья является ни большой, ни маленькой. У меня есть мать, отец и сестра. Мы все живем вместе в трехкомнатной квартире в одном из промышленных районов города Харькова. Мы- обычная семья.

Мой отец- Игорь Иванович, 45 лет. Он высокий, хорошо сложенный мужчина с короткими черными волосами и серыми глазами. Он работает менеджером на большом заводе. Он любит свою работу и проводит большую часть своего времени там. По характеру, мой отец спокойный человек, в то время как моя мать энергичная и разговорчивая.

Мою маму зовут Ольга Петровна. Она - учитель музыки, и она хорошо играет на фортепьяно. У моей мамы всегда много работы по дому и в школе. Она занятая женщина, и мы все ей помогаем.

Имя моей сестры- Алла. Как и наша мать Алла имеет голубые глаза и светлые волосы. Она очень красивая девушка. Алла на три года моложе меня. Она - ученица 8-го класса. Она хорошо учится в школе и получает только хорошие и отличные оценки. Литература - ее любимый предмет, и она хочет стать учителем, также как и я.

Наша семья очень дружная. Мы любим проводить время вместе. По вечерам мы смотрим телевизор, читаем книги и газеты, слушаем музыку или просто поговорим о событиях дня. Наши родители не всегда согласны с тем, что мы говорим, но они прислушиваются к нашему мнению.

Мы любим проводить выходные в деревне. Мы часто ездим в деревню, где живут наши бабушки и дедушки. Сейчас они пенсионеры в возрасте , но они предпочитают жить в селе. Моя прабабушка еще жива. Она живет в семье бабушки и всегда рада видеть нас. У неё плохое здоровье , и она просит нас приезжать и навещать ее чаще. У меня также есть много других родственников: дяди, тети, двоюродные братья. Мы рады, когда мы вместе.

My family.

There are four of us in my family: a father, a mother, me and younger brother. My father's name is Vladimir, he is a bus driver. My mother's name is Natalya, she is a kindergarten teacher. My name is Alexander, I am in the sixth grade and I go to music school. My younger brother's name is Andrey, he is in the first grade. I always help him to do homework and I look after him while my mother and father are at work. We like to play ball and watch animated cartoons. We go fishing together with father. After that our mother cooks delicious fish soup. If we have time to spare we always spend it together. We like going to the cinema and walking in the park. In the summer we go to the river for swimming or go to the forest to gather berries and mushrooms. In the winter we go skiing and skating. I and my brother always help our parents. We wash up dishes and sweep the floor. Moreover, we tidy our rooms ourselves. My parents are the best! Our family is very united, close-knit and happy.

Моя семья состоит из четырёх человек: папа, мама, я и младший брат. Папу зовут Владимир Иванович, он работает водителем автобуса. Маму зовут Наталья Сергеевна, она работает в детском саду воспитателем. Меня зовут Александр, я учусь в 5 классе и занимаюсь в музыкальной школе. Брата зовут Андрей, он учится в 1 классе. Я всегда помогаю ему делать домашнее задание и присматриваю за ним, пока мама с папой на работе. Мы любим с ним играть в мяч и смотреть мультфильмы. Вместе с папой мы ходим на рыбалку. Потом мама готовит нам вкусную уху. Свободное время мы всегда проводим вместе. Любим ходить в кино или гулять в парке. Летом ходим купаться на речку или ходим в лес за грибами и ягодами. А зимой катаемся на лыжах и коньках. Мы с братом всегда помогаем родителям: моем посуду и подметаем пол. Еще мы сами убираемся в своих комнатах. Мои родители самые лучшие! My Family

I am Zhilin Andrey. Andrey is my name and Zhilin is my surname. I am twelve years old. I want to tell you a few words about my family. My family is not large. I have got mother, father and grandmother. There are four of us in the family.

First of all some words about my parents. My mother is a teacher of biology. She works in a school. She likes her profession. She is a good-looking woman with brown hair. She is 44 but she looks much younger.

My father is programmer. He is forty-six. My father often sings and when we are at home and have some free time I play guitar and we sing together. He is also handy with many things. When he was small he liked to take everything to pieces. My grandmother told me a story that once my father tried to repair their kitchen clock but without success. They had to give it to a repairman. But it happened a long time ago. Now he can fix almost everything.

My parents have been married for 18 years. They have much in common, but they have different views on music, books, and films. For example my father likes horror films and my mother likes soap operas. My father is fond of tennis. My mother doesn't go in for sports.

My parents are hard working people. My mother keeps house and takes care of my father and me. She is very good at cooking. My grandmother is a pensioner. She lives with us and helps to run the house. She is fond of knitting.

I want to become a student. I'd like to learn foreign languages. I always try to be in a good mood.

We have got a lot of relatives.

About My Family

My family is not very big, just a typical family: Dad, Mom, me, my brother and sister and our cat. My Mummy is forty-one, she is a teacher of Spanish at the University. She is a born teacher. She has teaching abilities. My Dad is forty-two, he is a professional painter, he works for a design company. My parents both like their work very much.

My elder sister Natasha is nineteen, she goes to the University, she wants to be a teacher of history. She is fond of reading books on history and fiction.

My younger brother Igor is only six years old, he goes to the kindergarten. He is very funny, I like to spend my free time teaching him something. Igor likes to play with our cat.

My grandparents are retired. They like gardening. They spend a lot of their time in the garden. They grow vegetables and fruits. We enjoy having fresh vegetables and green on our dinner table.

I love my family very much. We always help each other. Everyone in my family is my best friend.
