Assigns students into 3 groups using words about describing the weather in different seasons (summer, winter and spring) | Take a piece of paper with the word and sit at the table describing the season (for example, sunny, frosty, cool etc.) | 3 minutes | |
T: Now I would like to ask you to make a list of words ending in -y for describing the weather. | Students in groups write as many words as they know for 1 minute. After that they each group one by one reads add one word they don't have to repeat. | 5 minutes | |
T: And now I will give you cards of words. The task is to complete the words and draw it on the poster (for example, snowflake) (Appendix 1) | They work in groups, discuss and decide which parts of the words they have to combine to make a word (they can't use dictionaries) they put the words instinctively and predict. Then they try to show it through the drawing. | 15 minutes | |
T: Now, please all groups stick your posters on the board and let's compare if you are right or not. | Students look at the posters and compare their works looking at the Presentation (Appendix 2) and see what they have to draw.

T: Now I would like you to make up your own examples with new words. | Students in oral form complete any sentences with new words. Other students have to listen carefully and correct mistakes if there are any (grammar or pronunciation) | 5 minutes | |
Next task is connected with collocations. T: Now, please in pairs choose the correct option in each sentence. Ex. 3 | Students work in pairs and discuss which of the words is better in the sentence. |

T: I will give you some sentences. Your task is to see the difference of using them. (see, look and watch) | Students think and give their ideas if using the verbs look, watch and see. Then for practicing they do exercise 4. They read analyze and discuss in groups which one they need to use. |

T: Now, I would like you to ask some questions about the weather and will you please answer trying to use as many new words and phrases you have learnt today. | Students ask questions any students they want from another group. |
