Урок-конкурс по английскому языку для 6 класса «Веселое путешествие»

Урок - конкурс «Веселое путешествие».

Цели:

- систематизация полученных знаний учащихся о Казани и о Лондоне.

- oбобщение изученного материала по теме «Лондон» ;

- актуализация фонетических и грамматических навыков по теме;

- развитие умений общаться на основе изученного материала, мышления и кругозор учащихся;

- воспитание любви к родной стране;

- проявить интерес к английскому языку у учащихся.

Форма : игра - конкурс

Оборудование: - видео проектор и презентации по теме «Достопримечательности Лондона» и «Достопримечательности Казани».

- карточки с заданиями;

- ручки и бумаги для записи.

Ход конкурса.

1. Организационный момент.

В кабинете представлены слайды и фотографии о достопримечательностях Лондона и Казани.

- Good morning , dear boys and girls. We are going to interesting travel today. I think our travelling will be interesting and useful for us. We are talking about England and about our republic.

We must not forget about native Kazan!

It is a heart of our country

As far as we know, the capital of England is London and the capital of our republic is Kazan. Really,they are worth visiting and seeing. You had the task to divide into two teams . ( Приглашаются команды для участия).

Уou must think of the names and motto to your teams . Your names can connect with the interesting places and the history of these places. For example, you can take the name " The followers of Shakespare". Your motto will be "Suit the action to the word, the word to the action". The second team will be called "The guards of the Kremlin". You can choose the motto " The real hero is shown in the battle ".

So let us start our competition.

Game 1.

Our first game is "New words". You will see the presentations of one of the cities. You must guess this place and must make up the new words from each letter. For examplе, it is the word "Tower". So our letters are - T, O, W, E, R.

T - tea

O - oak

W - while

E - eagle

R - rabbit

(Кто первым называет, получает 2 балла и за каждое правильно составленное слово - 1 балл).

Game 2. " Make up new dialogue".

Ok , my dear friends! We have learnt many new words and dialogues on this topic. Now you must make up your own dialogues. You will work in groups and make up the dialogues about London. Let us start!

( Учащиеся должны составить диалог по теме «Лондон». Дается определенное время на выполнение этого задания. Диалог должен быть разыгран самими учащимися. Учитывается грамматическая правильность и артистизм учащихся).

Например: -Hello, Kate!

• Hello, Jane! How are you !

• I am fine. I have been to London last week! It was great!

• Oh! What interesting places have you seen!

• I visited Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. I liked Madame Tussauds Museum best of all.

• Oh! Great! It is very interesting museum of wax figures. We can see many interesting people in this museum. You are lucky!

• Come to my place and I will show you the photos of London.

• OK! Good bye , Jane!

• See you later Jane!

Game 3. «Having a rest». Let us have a rest! You have a task to prepare poems about these places. You must choose the poem about your city, your native language and the other sightseeings. Let us remember our poems and songs. For example, the poem about "London" by W.Blake.

Game 4. "WHAT IS? Who is?" It is the task for our team leaders. Dear friends, you must continue this sentences.

Game 5. "Sightseeings"

OK , the next game will be about sightseeings. So are you ready? I will show you pictures of famous places. Уou must say the names of these places.

Game 6. " Proverbs about my country".

All of us love our country and are proud of it. We have travelled along different places and seen many interesting places. But we can not forget about our homeland - about our Republic. As the famous English proverb says " East or West - home is the best". Do you know proverbs about love to our motherland in Tatar?
