Тема: Unit 2, Section 4. What do English-speaking people think about their country?


  1. Introduction

Dear students! We are going to meet teenagers from English-speaking countries. So you are to find as much information about English-speaking countries as we can.


  1. Task

You should do the following things:

  1. find partner to work together with;

  2. find some information about English speaking countries to answer questions;

  3. choose one English-speaking country you like;

  4. find information for your presentation about the country;

  5. make a presentation.

Step 1

Answer the questions:

1. What English-speaking countries do you know?
2. What are their capitals?
3. Where are these English-speaking countries situated?
4. What languages do people in these countries?

Step 2

What country would you like to study and present?



Step 3

Now surf the Internet resources for the images, video, music and information about the country you have chosen.

You can use the following plan:

  • symbols of the country

  • its capital

  • the map of the country

  • the climate and the natural wonders

  • economy

  • the leader of the country

  • its history

  • its culture

Step 4

You have time to prepare you presentation. Use the information you have found. Good luck!

Step 5

Let's make a presentation of your work. Answer questions of your classmates. Choose the best work.
