Famous British people (Lesson-competition)
Цель: - обобщить изученные знания по теме, активизация лексических навыков по теме, расширить знания по теме.
Тип урока: обобщение и углубление знаний
Цель:
Развитие навыков устной речи с использованием изученной лексики по теме «Знаменитые люди Британии», расширение знаний по теме.
Задачи:
1.Образовательная: Закрепить знания учащихся по построению монологического высказывания с использованием изученной лексики.
2. Развивающая:
Развивать умения извлекать необходимую информацию из прочитанного и прослушанного текста для построения монологического высказывания.
3. Воспитательная:
Воспитывать интерес к предмету посредствам игры.
Оснащение урока:
1.Раздаточный дидактический материал.
2.Мультимедийная презентация по теме «Знаменитые люди Британии».
3.Проектор, ноутбук.

Организационный момент
Good morning, children! I`m glad to see you! Sit down please. Who is absent today?
Today we will have an unusual lesson - the lesson-competition.
Now let`s try to guess the topic of our lesson. Look at the board, what can you see on the pictures? Are these people Russian? So, what is the topic of the lesson?
What will we do?
OK, now let`s read the poem.
Everybody lives his life:
The actor acts, inspector inspects,
The writers write, the readers read,
The teachers teach, the children smile,
The sun is bright and life is sweet,
And there is no end to it!
Read after me. What is this poem about?
If you will be successful in your profession you can become famous too!
Let`s read the names of famous British people.
Now let`s start our competition! We have two teams today. Please tell us the names of your teams! Each of you has your number. Tell your number and introduce yourself.
We have a jury today, they are Alina and Irina. They will help me, count the scores after each competition and write them on the board.
Let`s start! Two members of your teams have their own task.
The first competition.
You have the sheets of paper with the names and photos, you must read the texts and match them with photos. The number one will answer. Pay attention to new words.
I give you 4 min.
The competition № 2.
You have to fill in the table: professions and names of the famous. Be careful, there is an odd name. Number two will answer. You should make sentences. Start work!
The competition № 3. Word formation.
You should form the names of professions using suffixes and translate them. Everybody will have different words. When you finish give you works to jury. Let`s start!

Listen to the dialogue and choose right photo. Listen very attentively!

We speak today about famous British people and you have learned some new information. Now let`s remember some Russian famous people.
The first team must remember some Russian musicians, composers and actors.
The second team must remember some Russian writers, sportsmen and politicians.
You should make the sentences on the model: Kobzon is famous Russian singer.
