Warming up

We study Unit 7 and it deals with some aspects of the environment. The topic of our lesson today is "Role-play", so you will be able to make and give your decisions in roles of councils.

First, let's think of endangered species. What are they? Which species of our region are in danger?

Today you are going to evaluate yourselves. Each of you receives "Evaluation list", where you should write down your name and surname. One mark will be for your homework, the next - for quiz, and during the classwork you'll put plus for each correct answer.

Checking homework/ Revision of the previous lesson

Animals, plants, habitats, and human beings are all interrelated and affect one another. The decisions that we make in everyday life have a substantial effect on every other part of the environment. Every decision made in dealing with environmental issues has a result either positive or negative. Your hometask was to create possible solutions to the problems of our environment. So today you are the councils and your job is to make the decisions and statements that you believe are the best course of action. Each group of councils has their problem and you have 5 minutes to present the solutions.

How will you evaluate the work of the group?

Scientists are still researching a number of important questions, including exactly how much Earth will warm, how quickly it will warm, and what the consequences of the warming will be in specific regions of the world.
