Time: 40 minutes

Theme: "Is the Earth a dangerous place?"

Aims:-to practice active vocabulary;

-to introduce new expressions;

-to provide speaking skills through skanning reading (reading for special information);

Materials: -computer;

-cards;

-handouts.

Objectives: by the end of the lesson learners will be able to speak on the topic using active vocabulary.

What is the date today? Today is the 13th of October .

Phonetic rhymes.

Students play snowball. Now I give you some cars with active vocabulary. You must repeat them one by one. Earthquake, hurricane, tornado, volcano, flood, drought, wind, storm, to cover, fire, mountain, snow.

a) Look at the board. The theme of our lesson is "Is the Earth a dangerous place". Translate it please. Today we are going to speak about dangerous places.

Now look at the spidergramme. Try to remember some words on the topic.
