Цели: развитие языковой компетенции учащихся через обобщение знаний по теме «Mass-Media»

Задачи: побуждать учащихся к использованию уже известной лексики и информации на английском языке; практиковать учащихся в устной речи по теме; формировать системное представление учащихся о СМИ

Ход урока

I Оргмомент

T: Good morning students! Glad to see you. I'm sure everybody is all right. Let's make our lesson interesting and useful. The theme of our lesson is « ?».

I.Организационный момент.

  1. Приветствие. Введение в тему урока.

Учитель: Good morning, boys and girls. How are you? I'm glad to see you. What shall we speak today about? Try to guess. I'll show you some hints.

Ученик 1: In my opinion, we shall speak about newspapers.

Ученик 2: It seems to me, we shall speak about books

Ученик 3: I think we shall speak about magazines

Учитель:That's right. How can we call newspapers, magazines, books in other words?

Ученик 4: Sources of information

Ученик 5: Mass media

Учитель: Good.

Today we are going to continue about some means of communicating. They are traditionally called the media. The mass media actually rule the world and play a very important part in our lives.

And now tell me what types of mass-media do you know?

T: What is Media?

P: I know TV, the Internet, newspapers and radio.

T: What is the role of the Media in our life?

P: The media help people: to get information, to relax, to entertain.

T: What types of mass-media do you use in your everyday life?

P: In my everyday life I usually use TV, the Internet, radio and newspapers.

T: So students, I see you know the main media. But what are their definitions?

T: You know NS now is one of the most important mass media. We can hardly imagine our life without NS. I think you know much about NS. Prove it answering my questions.

  1. What kinds of NS do you know?

  2. What was the earliest kind of Mass media?

  3. How often do you usually read NS?

  4. When do you usually read NS?

  5. What are your NS?

T: Try to express the main idea of the text in several sentences.

What advantages and disadvantages has NS to your mind? Make up the presentation of your opinion. Continue filling the table with the facts of your own.
