Практической целью урока является: совершенствование лексико-грамматического навыка речи по данной теме, развитие навыков аудирования, устной речи.

Цели урока:

Образовательные: продолжать совершенствовать лексико-грамматические навыки чтения, аудирования и говорения по теме урока.

Развивающие: развивать мышление, память, самостоятельность, развивать интеллект и познавательные способности.

Воспитательные: формировать культуру общения на английском языке, формировать мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка.

Оснащение: рисунки, раздаточный материал, слайдовая презентация.

Ход урока

1. Приветствие. Организационный момент. Постановка цели.

Teacher: Good afternoon boys and girls. I am glad to see you. You look great today. Listen to the song and define the theme of the lesson. That's it. Today we are going to speak about different kinds of sport and the sports you enjoy doing.

Well, what comes to your mind when smb says "Sport", give the association chain.

• What proverbs connected with sport and health do you know?

• A healthy mind in a healthy body.

• Health is above wealth.

• An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

• Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.

• Fortune favours the brave.

• No pains, no gains.

• Where there is a will, there is a way.

2. Совершенствование лексических навыков говорения.

1. Look at the screen and name these kinds of sport (слайды)

2. Say which of them are sports and which of them are games.

Skiing, skating, football, rugby, rowing, horseracing, basketball, golf, running, high jumping, cricket, ice hockey, badminton, tennis, baseball. (слайд)

3. What equipment is used in this kind of sport .

Make up a sentence Example: We use … when we go in for … .

4. Why do people do sports. (слайд) Do you go in for sports?

3. Совершенствование навыков устной речи (полилог) (микрофоны корреспондентам).

You'll work in groups. In each group there will be an interviewer trying to get information about sport in your life. Answer his questions and then the interviewer will report back to the class what he has learnt about you. The interviewer may want to find out the following. (слайд с косвенными вопросами) Make the questions direct.

How long he has been going in for sports.

Where he usually trains.

If he has won any competition.

4. Pазвитие навыков диалогической речи. Role Play

Some people really have no idea what kind of sport to choose and they ask for advice. At the previous lesson you were given role cards to role play the situations. (cлайд)

I give you some minutes to get ready. Work in pairs.

List one or two ideas for appropriate sports for each of the following people

• A grandma who wants to stay fit and healthy.

• An overweight 12- year old boy (girl) who hates all sports, except on TV.

• A writer who spends whole days writing in his study. He is rather unfit and a bit lonely.

• A young woman who works in an office. At the end of the day she can't stand looking at people!

• A university student with no money.
