по английскому языку в 7 классе

«Improve Your English!»

Название: « Intellectual Marathon ».

Цели игры:

1. Развивать неподготовленную речь учащихся.

2. Развивать креативные способности учащихся.

3. Воспитывать интерес к изучению предмета.

4. Обобщить страноведческие знания учащихся, полученные на уроках английского языка.

Образовательные задачи:

1. В ходе творческой, самостоятельной, индивидуальной и групповой работы с дидактическими материалами закрепить знания учащихся по изученным темам и расширить общий кругозор.

Развивающие задачи:

1. Развивать умение работать в коллективе и принимать совместное решение;

2. Развивать положительные личностные качества (ответственность, доброжелательность, чувство взаимопомощи).

3. Развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление.

Воспитательные задачи:

1. Воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка.

Оформление кабинета:

На доске название игры «Интеллектуальный марафон», флаги англоязычных стран, карта СК Великобритании и Северной Ирландии, правила игры, перечень конкурсов.

Ход занятия.

1. Оргмомент. Приветствие ведущего.

Teacher: Good afternoon, children and our guests! I'm very glad to see you here. Now we shall organize a competition called " Intellectual Marathon". Two teams will take part in a game of the cleverest. It's time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the 1^st team?

P1: I'm the captain of the team. The name of our team is "Erudites". Our motto is "Enjoy English!"

Teacher: Who is the captain of the 2^nd team?

P2: I'm the captain of the team. The name of our team is "Optimists". Our motto is "Learn English!".

(Состав команд, их названия и девиз определяются заранее).

Teacher: Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game. I have invited a competent jury to count the points. Now I'm going to teach you how to play this game. The game has 7 contests, they are:

1. English-speaking countries.

2. English folklore Proverbs.

3. Grammar station.

4. Fantastic reading.

5. The right choice.

6. Rebus

Well, I wish you success. Be active, honest and helpful!

Teacher: And now we come to the 1^st contest of the game called

"English-speaking countries".

So name English-speaking countries you know. You have 1 minute at your disposal. Each team can get 5 points.

2.

Teacher: And now we come to the 2^nd contest which is called "English folklore Proverbs". I'll give you English proverbs. Read them and give Russian equivalents. You can get 5 points for the right answer.

Дети из каждой команды вытягивают один билетик со скороговорками из набора, затем выбирают, кто из команды читает скороговорку. Дается 1 минута на подготовку, и дети читают. Жюри оценивает правильность произношения всех слов и скорость чтения. Максимум - 5 баллов.
