Demonstrative Lesson for kids (5-6 ages)

The theme of the lesson: My family.

The aim: teaching kids the membersof family in English: Mother, father, brother, sister, baby, grandmother and grandfather. Teaching vocabularies through song and games.

1. Using flashcards of family(mother,father,brother,sister,baby,grandfather,grandmother). Ask kids to repeat after you for several times.

2. Put everywhere pictures and (at the door, window, wall…) ask kids to jump and point to the right picture when teacher says mother, father etc..

3. Family tree game: there should be a family tree on the board, and the pictures of family members, kids should come out individually and take the picture then put it on a family tree.

4. Make kids to draw their own family members and colour them. You can help them with drawing and colouring, you can ask individually what colour is it? or Who is he/she?. It really helps kids to speak in English while they are colouring or writing.

5. At the end you can sing a song through video. They can watch and sing and repeat and have fun learning English by watching.
