Урок английского языка

в 8 классе

"Welcome to Great Britain"

Тип урока: формирование навыков и умений.

Цель: активизировать умения и навыки речи, используя лексику по теме; практиковать учащихся в аудировании с целью получения максимально полного и точного понимания всей информации; совершенствовать навыки чтения и пополнить словарный запас в процессе работы над текстом; развивать логическое мышление, языковую догадку, навыки классификации и обобщения; расширить знания учащихся о Великобритании, развивать интерес и воспитывать уважение к традициям и страны, язык которой они изучают.

Оборудование: карта Великобритании, ученические проекты, раздаточно-дидактический материал, компьютер, интерактивная доска.

Форма проведения: урок-защита проектов.

Тип проекта:

1) по виду деятельности: практико-ориентированный

2) по содержанию: межпредметных

3) по характеру партнерских взаимодействий: кооперативный

4) по времени проведения: краткосрочный.

Задачи урока:

1) сотрудничать в группе;

2) управлять фактами в жизнедеятельности;

3) прислушиваться к идеям других и отстаивать свою собственную точку зрения:

4) учиться применять знания в новых ситуациях.

Методы и приемы: работа в группах, парах; метод проектов.

Основной вопрос: стимулировать интерес учащихся к новым проблемам, которые предусматривают наличие определенной суммы знаний, показать практическое применение полученных знаний.

Ключевой вопрос: формирование проектного мышления, мотивов и поведения партнерства и сотрудничества.

Этапы реализации:

- Подготовительный этап (подготовка учащихся к работе, определение проблемы; формулировка цели и задач по ее решения, определение формы конечного продукта; выдвижения гипотезы, обсуждение методов исследования);

- Технологический этап - планирование работы (определение основных источников, способов сбора информации, процедуры и критерии оценки результатов, распределение работы между членами группы; сбор информации по проблеме, поиск учащимися личных решений проблемы; решения промежуточных задач; решения проблемы; анализ полученных результатов; формулирование выводов)

- Заключительный этап (оформление результатов, подготовка к представлению проекта, осуществление его защиты; подведение итогов)

Главная цель проекта:

- Создание оригинального продукта (проекта) по учебной теме;

- Формирование личностных качеств;

- Умение презентовать созданное перед аудиторией.

Ожидаемые результаты проекта:

- Развитие коммуникативных компетенций;

- Повышение уровня знаний;

- Самостоятельная деятельность учащихся;

- Креативность, положительное отношение к инновациям;

- Личностная самореализация, стремление к саморазвитию и самосовершенствованию.

Участники проекта: учащиеся 8 класса.

Good morning, everybody! I'm glad to see you. How are you today?

The topic of our today's lesson is "Welcome to Great Britain"

We should listen and discuss projects of our students about Great Britain and do some exercises to improve your English.

Great Britain

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is situated on the British Isles. They lie to the north-west of Europe. The British Isles are separated from the continent by the narrow strait of water which is called the English Channel.

The British Isles consists of two large islands, GB and Ireland, and about five thousand small islands. Their total area is over 244,000 square kilometers.

The British Isles are separated from European continent by the North Sea and the English Channel. The western coast of GB is washed by the Atlantic Ocean and the Irish Sea.

Great Britain is a country of forests and plains. There are no high mountains in this country. Scotland is the most mountainous region with the highest peak, Ben Nevis.

The surface of the British Isles varies very much. The north of Scotland is mountainous and is called the Highlands, while the south, which has beautiful valleys and plains, is called the Lowlands.

The rivers of Great Britain are not long. The longest rivers are the Thames and the Severn.

The capital of the United Kingdom, London, stands on the bank of the Thames.

The surface of the British Isles varies very much. The north of Scotland is mountainous and is called the Highlands, while the south, which has beautiful valleys and plains, is called the Lowlands.

The mountains, the Atlantic Ocean and the warm waters if Gulf Stream influence the climate of the British Isles. The weather in GB is very changeable. A fine morning can change into a wet afternoon and evening and the wrong side out. The English people say: "Other countries have a climate; in England we have weather.

"The English also say that they have three variants of weather: when it rains in the morning, when it rains in the afternoon or when it rains all day long.

The weather is the favorite conversational topic in GB. After they greet each other they start talking the weather.

The United Kingdom consists of four parts: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. England, the central part, occupies the most of the island of Great Britain. To the north lies Scotland and to the west the third part of the country, Wales, is situated. The fourth part is called Northern Ireland and is located on the second island. Each part has its capital. The capital of England is London, Wales has Cardiff, Scotland has Edinburgh and the main city of Northern Ireland is Belfast.

(The climate of you country is temperately continental being subtropical only in the South. The weather is not so changeable as English one. The climate of Great Britain is moderated because of ocean breezes. It is damp and mild. Rainfalls are very often throughout the year .)

Wales is one of the most beautiful countries in the United Kingdom. The country is full of little towns, castles and seaside villages. Cardiff is the capital of Wales. It is a university town with an impressive castle, wonderful museums, galleries and lovely buildings.

English is the official language, but Welsh, one of the oldest languages ​​in Europe, is still spoken in some parts of country. In fact, a special committee was established in 1988 to protect the language and today Welsh schoolchildren learn both languages. Welsh has beautiful song-like quality, which is perhaps one reason why sinning is such a favorite pastime. Playing music is another popular hobby.

Wales 'beauty attracts travelers from around the world. Snowdonia, Britain's second largest park is located in the north of Wales. It is an eight-day festival of music and poetry to celebrate Welsh language, art and culture. It is the largest and most popular festival in Wales and attracts thousands of visitors.
