Mary Poppins appears with her umbrella and her bag.

Mary Poppins: Well, children. I'm your new nurse. My name is Mary Poppins!

Jane: How did you come? Did the wind blow you here?

Mary Poppins: It did.

Mary Poppins opens her bag.

Michael: What a funny bag!

Jane: A white apron.

Michael: A large cake of soap.

Jane: A tooth-brush.

Michael: A camera.

Jane: A little of perfume.

Michael: A small armchair.

Mary takes out a large bottle of medicine.

Michael: Is that your medicine?

Mary: No, it's yours.

Michael: I don't want it. I won't!

He closes his eyes and opens his mouth.

Michael: Strawberry ice ! More, more, more!

Mary comes up to Jane.

Jane: Sweet lemon- juice. I love it!

Michael: Mary Poppins, will you never leave us?

Mary : Till the wind changes.

(Настя танцует)

Scene 2

Michael comes up to the window.

Michael: Wow!

Jane: What is it?

Michael: A very strange thing.

There's a cow.

Jane: A cow? In the middle of a town?

How fanny! Mary Poppins, there's a cow in the Lane.

Mary: I know that cow. She is my mother's great friend. She had a happy life and I didn't want any change.

One night Red Cow got up suddenly and began to dance . There was no music but she danced,

and danced and danced.

Red Cow: I'm tired, in the morning I can't have breakfast because I can't stop. I must go and see the king.

Scene 3

The palace The Red Cow dances through the halls to the king's throne.

Secretary (to the Red Cow): The king is very busy. He is making new Laws.

The King: How many laws?

Secretary: Seventy- two, your Majesty.

King: Not bad for an hour's work. (He sees the Cow): what is that?

Secretary: A Cow, your Majesty.

King( angrily): I can see that, but what do you want? Be quick, because, I'm a very busy king!

And stop dancing.

Cow: That's my problem your majesty. I can't stop! It is the seventh day of dancing. And I can't eat. I

can't sleep.

King: Hm- very strange. (King goes to his throne, watches the cow, and then jumps on his feet and cries).

Don't you see that? The Cow has caught a fallen star on her horn. Pull it off and this lady can

stop dancing and have some breakfast.

Cow: But the star didn't come off.

King: I know the story of The Cow Who Jumped Over the Moon. Try that too.

Cow: Try what?

King: Try to jump over the Moon. I think it will help.

Cow: Me? I'm a serious animal. Jumping is not good for a lady.

King: Madam, do you want to go on dancing? Do you like to feel hungry and sleepy.

Cow: I'll try it.

The Red Cow jumped and flies up into the sky. The star falls off with a great noise.

Cow: I stop dancing. I can have a lovely dinner of soft grass and sweet yellow flowers.

Scene 4.

The wind grows stronger and stronger.

Mary Poppins (puts on hand on Michael's head and the other on Jane's shoulder):

Now, I'm just going off for a few minutes.

Suddenly they heard somebody shut the front door.

Jane: Michael!

Michael: Jane!

Mary Poppins dressed in her coat and hat with her bag in one hand. She opened the umbrella, the wind lifts her over the front gate.

Michael (cries): She's going, Jane, she's going!

Michael and Jane: Mary Poppins! Mary Poppins, come back!
