Hello!
My name is Sofia. I'm from Sevastopol. My birthday is in February
and I'm nine.
This summer I am fond of fishing. I fish on the coasts of the Black Sea in the Crimea.
One
of the most common fish in my daily catch is "Sea Dog".
It is eatable but it isn't tasty. So, I throw it back to the sea.
I made some photos and decided to learn more about this fish.
It has lots of names in English: Shanny, Blenny, Clunny and Sea-frog.
It is a small fish with a green body and dark dots. Blenny's length is about 100-180 mm and its weight is 90-180 g.

lives in rocks or shelters near coasts. It chooses a stone and
defends it against other fishes.
It is interesting to know that Blenny can stay for some time without water during ebbs.
I think it is one of the most amazing fishes of the Black Sea.
