"Nothing is for ever…" (7 класс)

Цели урока

Познавательный аспект:

• знакомство детей с экологическими проблемами Земли, их реальными причинами;

• знакомство учащихся с отношением Британских и Американских школьников к данной проблеме и путях участия детей и взрослых в её решении;

• познакомить детей с признанными человечеством мировыми красотами природы, а также обратить внимание детей на красоту природы своей страны.

Учебный аспект:

• формирование навыка выборочного чтения;

• расширение словарного запаса английских слов и выражений по данной теме;

• развитие монологической речи (употребление новых лексических единиц в своих речевых высказываниях по данной теме);

• формирование умения ориентироваться в потоке информации, осуществлять поиск, обработку и передачу необходимой информации.

Воспитательный аспект:

• воспитание бережного отношения ко всему живому на планете, осознания необходимости активного участия в сохранении красоты окружающего мира;

• дать возможность детям лично принять участие в защите Земли, высказывая свои идеи по данной проблеме;

• развитие таких качеств личности как патриотизм, активная жизненная позиция, самостоятельность суждения.

Развивающий аспект:

• развитие творческих способностей (создание проектов, презентаций по данной теме);

• развитие навыка общения с учителем дистанционно, навыка самостоятельной работы и самоконтроля, коммуникативных компетенций;

• развитие навыков ориентации и поиска необходимой информации в Интернете;

• развитие психических функций, связанных с речевой деятельностью (мышление, память, внимание, восприятие, воображение).

Ход урока

Знакомство с новой формой проведения урока - дистанционной.

1. Introduction

Hello, dear pupils! Today we are going to have a very unusual lesson. In front of you there are computers. You will use them to get useful theoretical information through the offered web-sites.

You should do it in order to take some practical tasks not only in English but in Computer Science as well. So you will improve your English and at the same time you will learn how to navigate the Internet and use the World Wide Web.

I will help you to solve any problems with English or working on a PC.

2. Warm - up activity

So, now you see the theme of the lesson. It is a great problem for all people living on the Earth. And we cannot stay aside just looking and waiting.

Have a look at the steps of our lesson and several practical tasks. Let's read them. Some of them you must do: a test which you will take at the end of the lesson and expressing your own view on the problem. Some of them can be done by yourself if you wish: making your own presentation on this topic in Power Point.

These works can be done at home and sent me by e-mail. Then you will see the results of your work and marks for the test on a special page.

On the left you can see extra materials which you need. There is a vocabulary where you will find the meanings of some new words and phrases.

The list of words: a charity (organization), to raise (money), to make contribution, nature, to give a helping hand, to damage, to destroy, homeless, to disturb, environment, lonely, glass, to plant, plastic, а volunteer to pollute, to make donations, pollution, to provide shelter, to protect, to recycle, to reduce, to reuse, to spoil, to throw away, elderly, disabled, wild life.

Let's have a look through the pages of the distance lesson. You will have to read the information which you see here about the most pressing environmental issues. Sometimes you will have to find some information from the other Web-sites.

You may put a list with the questions of the test in front of you and check them getting the information from the lesson. Or you may do it later.

3. Practice

1. Аудирование.

People have different opinions of ecological problems. Let's listen to the speakers and correlate the speakers with their opinions. (учащиеся слушают запись, затем соотносят говорящего с затронутой проблемой).

Speaker 1 A. Thinks that factories must also do something about pollution.

Speaker 2 B. Thinks that it is necessary to have extra rubbish bins where possible

Speaker 3. C. Thinks that who pollute should pay money.

Speaker 4. D.Thinks that recycling can bring you extra money.

Speaker 5. E. Thinks that recycling is quite simple for anyone who thinks about nature.

Do we recycle enough?

1. No. We should have bins placed along roads to make collecting cans and rubbish easier. What we have is not enough because we are still wasting natural resources.

2. We can never recycle enough. Empty cans are worth money, so why not save them - either for extra pocket money or for charity. Every little bit does help.

3. No. Recycling is important for the environment making the world a better place. We should introduce more schemes so that people have to clean up in and around their homes - or pay a fine.

4. There are lots of recycling bins at supermarkets and shopping centres for household waste. But industries should recycle their waste too. They often don't seem to care that they are polluting the planet.

5. We could all make a bigger effort to recycle. It's so easy to throw empty cans and bottles in the bin - we just have to stop and think what we are doing to the planet. I'm sure we could all make a difference.

2. Говорение.

Teacher: We know that we should do something. Here you can see some advice on how to keep our country tidy. (Учащимся даются советы по защите окружающей среды. Их задача - составить предложения, используя пассивную конструкцию с инфинитивом)

a) Teacher: What are you asked to do or not to do?

 Recycle plastic bottles

 Don't hurt wild animals

 Keep off the grass

 Don't pollute nature

Class: We are asked to keep off the grass.

b) Grammar Rules Review

Let's use Simple Present Passive and put the verb in brackets in the correct form.

Simple Present Passive

 When the trees (cut down), the forests (destroy).

 When paper (recycle), nature (not damage).

 When nature (not pollute), wild animals (not hurt).

 When animals (save), nature (not pollute).

Выполнение практической части урока

Каждую часть практической работы учащиеся выполняют либо дома, либо в классе, если нет компьютера, или выхода в Интернет.

При выполнении работы в классе учитель помогает с созданием презентации, созданием, сохранением и отправкой работ по электронной почте.

Firstly, you have to take a test. You have to choose the correct answers to the questions. Do it carefully. If you forget something, you can go back to the pages you need. You can do it at home. Please, send it to me by e-mail.

Secondly, try to express your own opinion about this subject. Sure, you have interesting ideas how to protect our planet. But let's start with our area next to our school, your houses. Write about it in Word and send it to me by e-mail.

From the lesson and Web-sites you have known about 7 Wonders of the World. But let's think about 7 Wonders of our country. Try to make a list of them. Put in into the letter to me.

And finally, if you wish you can make your own presentation in Power Point.

3. Письмо

Teacher: And now write what we should do to keep our country tidy.

Grammar in focus: modal verbs must, should, can. (Используя те же самые слайды, учащиеся записывают предложения с модальными глаголами и предыдущими фразами).

Class: We must keep of the grass.

We must keep dogs under control.

We can reduce pollution.

IV. Презентации учащихся.

Teacher: We shall find out who is in Charge of Our Planet. What can children do to save our planet? Учащиеся рассказывают о своем вкладе в защиту окружающей среды.

V. Conclusion.

Научить видеть результаты своего труда, делиться мнением, проводить анализ своей работы.

Заключительный этап.

Учитель подводит итоги дистанционного урока: демонстрирует результаты теста, показывает презентации учащихся, чтение мнений учащихся о проблеме окружающей среды, спрашивает мнение учащихся об уроке, выставляет оценки.

You were attentive during the lesson and have known a lot about this problem. You had a test, made a presentation and made a list of 7 Wonders of Russia. These works can be seen on a special page of the distance lesson.

You should read your classmates' opinion about the global problem of our planet and compare your ideas with other ideas.

Now, let's watch your presentations. I think they are nice.

But the list of 7 Wonders of Russia is not completed.
