Ведущий 1 - do you know that it is a very famous and popular holiday in the USA and people in every country usually have great celebration in autumn to thank God and nature for a plentiful harvest?
Ведущий 2 - Да, я знаю, такой праздник есть в Америке. The American Thanksgiving began nearly 4 hundred years ago. Thanksgiving Day is legal holiday. People give thanks for many good things in their lives.
Ведущий 1 - все началось 400 лет назад (на экране плакат или корабль) there was a ship Mayflower with 102 passenger left Plymouth, England.
Ведущий 2 - to be free they decided to cross the sea ever since that autumn day thanksgiving has been here to stay.
Ведущий 1 - at first the passengers enjoyed good weather at sea. But soon, strong winds and fierce storms developed.
Ведущий 2 - some of passengers are sailors were afraid that the ship couldn't cross the ocean
Ведущий 1 - they wanted to return to England. But others felt confident.

Story-teller: on September 16?1620 the Pilgrims sailed from Plymouth Rock, in Massachusetts, on December 26, 1620

Pilgrim Oh, I see a land! Look! Land!
All Pilgrims Land! Hurrah! Land!

Pilgrim Look! There are people there. They welcome us.
The Indian leader: welcome to our land! Who are you? Where are you from?
1 Pilgrim: we are Pilgrims. We are from England. We have come for new lives. And who are you?
The Indian leader : we are Indians. We have been living here for a long time. You may stay here and live on our land.
All Pilgrims: thank you very much
Story-teller: the first winter was a terrible time. The pilgrims were hungry, sick and cold. Many people died. Then the Native Americans, the Indians, helped the pilgrims.
1 Pilgrim: we have nothing to eat. Many people have died and many are sick. What shall we do? (Появляются индейцы с корзинами еды)
1 Indian: Hello! We have brought food to you: bread, vegetables, fruit, corn and other things
3 Pilgrim oh! Thank you very much! You have saved our lives! We'll never forget you!
Story-teller: spring came. Indians taught the Pilgrims to plant corn, to build houses, to hunt, to fish. In other words - how to survive in America. (Индейцы показывают пилигримам как выращивать кукурузу строить дома ловить рыбу охотиться)
2 Indian we'll teach you how to plant corn, build houses, hunt and fish. Our land is very rich.
4 Pilgrim: thanks! We'll pray for you! We'll be good pupils.
Story-teller: the crops did well, and in the fall of 1621 the Pilgrims had a great harvest. They were very thankful and decided to celebrate with a feast. The pilgrims invited the Indian friends to share this thanksgiving feast.
2 Pilgrim: welcome to our thanksgiving feast! We are grateful to you for many things.
4 Pilgrim: but the main is you helped us when we suffered greatly. And we'll never forget those days! (индейцы и пилигримы садятся за праздничный стол. на столе индейка, клюква, фрукты, кукуруза, пирог и тд)
The Indian leader: ставьте на столы обильное угощенье и собирайтесь на праздник. Поднимем бокалы за стойких пилигримов, чье мужество никогда не иссякнет.

Be thankful for home

Story-teller: since 1621 every fourth Thursday of November the Americans celebrate Thanksgiving where a festival has become traditional.
