Цели:
социокультурный аспект - знакомство с фактами культуры страны
изучаемого языка(Madame Tussaud's Museum Beefeater, the Tower of London.
Horse Guards Parade. Buckingham Palace, Brittania, Adidas, Levi's), c историей появления некоторых предметов одежды (a balaclava, a bowler hat, a cardigan, wellies), c известными историческими личностями( K. Minogue, S.Stallone, E. Taylor, A. Schwarzenegger, E.Murphy, M.Thatcher);
развивающий аспект - развитие внимания, памяти, способности к сравнению, классификации;
развитие догадки по аналогии с родным языком, по контексту, умений использовать опоры для построения высказывания, пользоваться справочной литературой (лингвострановедческим словарем), осуществлять информационный поиск, в том числе с помощью компьютерных средств;
воспитательный аспект - развитие стремления иметь собственное мнение, давать оценки; формирование интереса и уважительного отношения к культуре других народов; воспитание любознательности, познавательных потребностей, желания расширять кругозор;
учебный аспект - формирование лексических навыков говорения;
сопутствующая задача: совершенствование произносительных и орфографических навыков, развитие умения читать и понимать на слух с целью извлечения конкретной информации
