The theme of the lesson: Australia.

The aim: by the end of the lesson the Ss will be able to use the active vocabulary of the unit in lexical exercises.

The Objectives: Ss will have practiced reading the dialogue about Australia.

New language and structure:

Language to be revised: the active vocabulary of the unit.

Anticipated problems: the beginning of the school year.

  1. Warm-up. Look at the photos and prove they were taken in Australia.

  1. Lexis practice

  1. Take the card and say which you like better and why.

Sample: Which do you like better peaches or apricots? - Peaches. They are sweeter.



  1. Ex 15 p 284 (in 2 teams on cards match the words & descriptions. Don't use the SB).

  2. Ex 16 p 284 ( take turns to answer the questions). Check up H/W.
