Тема: Mini beasts (Мини - животные).
Цель:
воспитательный аспект:
- воспитывать уважительное отношение к природе, ответственность за
сохранение животного мира,
- умение работать в команде, помогать друг другу.
развивающий аспект:
- создать условия для развития исследовательских умений учащихся, памяти
и воображения, способности к распределению внимания, к сравнению
образовательный аспект:
- формирование лексических навыков говорения,
- первичное закрепление нового лексического материала,
- развитие, всех видов речевой деятельности,
- развитие умения понимать на слух с целью извлечения информации, умения
работать с листами наблюдения;
Речевой материал: лексика по теме «Мини - животные»
Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, экран, учебник, листы наблюдения, тематические картинки.
Ход урока.

Warming up.. Приветствие. Целеполагание.
Glad to see you, my dear friends! How are you? Are you in a good mood?
I hope you are fine!
Presentation of the aim of the lesson.
T: Let`s start our lesson. Look at these pictures. (Слайд1.) Can you call them in English? Уч-ся называют уже известных им насекомых: a butterfly, a fly, a spider).
OK. And now try to guess what we are going to talk about.
(Pp. I think we`re going to talk about very small animals).
Sure. We are going to talk about insects. And our lesson is devoted to mini beasts.
We`ll have an unusual lesson and you`ll be the unusual pupils. You`ll be the scientists.
Is it interesting or boring to be a scientist? Why?
(Pp: I think it is interesting. Because we can find out many interesting things about animal life.)
II. Phonetic exercise.
First, let`s practice the English sounds. Here you can see the poem. Will you repeat it after me, please?
" Insects here, insects there.
You can see them everywhere:
In the forest, in the lake….
Do you know what they make?"
You see the poem is very easy. Can you recite it right now? Who wants to try?
III. New vocabulary.
Look at these pictures, listen to and try to remember the new words.
Open your textbooks on p. 64, ex. 1a .
Your task is to look at the pictures and match them with the words.
Let`s check the answers. (Слайд 2.) Estimate your work.
OK. Now you know the names of these insects. And what can these insects do?

Ex. 1b. Use the examples and the phrases in the box.
IV. Reading for detail. Ex. 3
In the textbook there is another picture. Look and say what insect the boy is looking at.
(Pp: At bees.)
T: OK. Now read the insect information and help Dima to fill in observation sheet № 1.
Let`s check.
V. Listening for specific information.
You are very good scientists. Do you like working with observation sheets? Then we`re going to listen to the recording. Be attentively and fill in the observation sheet № 2.

VI. Practice asking and answering questions.
Now we are going to fill in another observation sheets about small animals (the ant, the dragon fly, the butterfly and the ladybird). Work in pairs. Look through your observation sheets.
What question you need to ask if you want to find out about the colour (about where it lives, about the legs, wings, eyes; about food; about what it can do).

VII. Reflection.
Our lesson is over. And I`d like you to give your self - assessment. You may begin with:
